If you're like me, you tolerate LSL because, there is no other choice. For years, I have wished for a real programming language like C#, with full access to the core sim components. Well, turns out I am not the only one that has this dream, and guess what... The dream is coming true! *wipes the tears from his eyes*
Today I attended the Reaction Grids code clinic and learned of something new called MRM. Its new to the OpenSim platform, but in the few articles on it I have read it looks like they are making great headway. I know I should have tested it out myself before releasing this, but I was just so excited to learn about this, I had to shout it from the roof tops. I will soon try and set aside some time and give it a whirl. So how can you implement this in your OpenSim? Inside the "opensim.ini" file is a section called "MRM". I will warn you not to implement this in a production environment. Its still very new, and has some security issues right now. I highly recommend you also read all these articles listed below. Great stuff on MRM:
