  5. The version in your inventory now will be no copy, you need to make a small change to fix this.
  6. Follow the instructions under "Before you begin"

Getting Started

Drop out the "Skidz Partz - TMat Pure Posez" Animation Organizing System. Keep in mind that you are unable to add animations while wearing the system as a HUD.

Add Animations!

  1. Right click the system and choose Edit from the pie menu.
  2. The Edit window will have popped up.I
    • f you don't currently see the five tabs, click the More>> button. Click on the Content Tab.
  3. Open your inventory alongside the Edit window.
  4. Locate and select the Animations you want to put into the system.
    • Use Shift to select multiple animations in a row and Ctrl to select multiple animations at random.
    • Items must have copy permissions
  5. Drag your selection into the Content Window of the TMat Organizing System.
    • Depending on how many you add, you may wait a while for the animations to be detected.
  6. Once you're done adding your animations, Close the Edit window and wait for a text prompt.
    • Click on the folder icon where you'd like to place the animations.
    • They will be moved into that particular folder.

You have placed animations into your TMat Organizing System. You can now navigate through them by using the Next and Prev arrows at the far left and right sides of the system. If you have finished adding items, you can now wear the system as a HUD.

You can also use the "Unpack Script" to migrate your animations from other organizers, or packages you have made or purchased. Just click the Main menu button then "Unpack Script" from the dialog. It will give you a script you can drop in any object to move the contents to the TMat or your inventory. For more details on how to do this, see the Extras & Tips section.

IMPORTANT: Due to Second Life limitations, animations need to have copy permissions to be detected by the TMat. A text prompt will alert you in the event a animation doesn't have proper permissions. If you find that not all your items show up in your folders, edit the TMat and see if any of your items are "caught" in the Content tab. You will have to move these back to your inventory manually.

Main Menu - Control Panel

The Main Menu is accessed using the icon on the top left side. By default, it is a picture of a screw driver. Clicking this icon will bring up a dialog box with the following options: Join Group, Unpack Scri, Permissions, Minimize, and Help. Please be advised that all dialogs will time out after 60 seconds.

►   "☑ Options" provides you with various different options that affect various parts of the TMat's functions:

"▤ Volume" allows you to set the volume of sound previews

"▪ Save" manual save of TMat's current size, permissions, and folder types

"➽ Slide Show" lets you select how many seconds between frames (1-120)

"░ Dbl Click" allows you to tell the TMat whether or not to show the thumbnails while displaying repeats (Double Click).

"≡ F Names" gives you options regarding your folder names. Display turns the folder names on or off, Page turns the number of pages on or off, Count turns the number of items inside on or off.

"☺ Chat" asks, "Would you like me to be quiet?" and you can answer Yes or No

"❂ Themes" lets you set the theme of your icons

"BackGrd Color" sets your background colour (great for contrast)

"☍ Auto Min" If you do not use your TMat for 60 min, it will automatically minimize.

You can disable this here.

►   "Clone" allows you to make an exact replica of your TMat for backup purposes. With the way Second Life has been encountering asset server issues, it was an important addition to the TMat's functions. To clone your TMat, drop out a new TMat nearby. Click the Clone button when you're ready and click any folder on the new TMat as if you were adding contents. A perfect replica of your TMat will be created. Use the Clone function after you've added your desired contents as changes made to one TMat will not be reflected in the other.

►   "♕ Permissions" allows you to set who is able to use your TMat. Only you may use your TMat by default.

"_ Browse" permissions: Set this permission if you would like to give someone else the right to look through your contents. If your TMat is set to a group, you may choose "Group" to allow members to browse your contents. If you choose All, anyone may browse. If you choose "Owner" (default), you revoke any previously set permissions and only you may browse contents.

"▄ Take" permissions: Set this permission if you would like to give someone else the right to take copies of your contents. PLEASE REVIEW THE COPYRIGHTS OF YOUR PURCHASED ANIMATIONS BEFORE DOING THIS! If your TMat is set to a group, you may choose "Group" to allow members to take from your contents. If you choose All, anyone may take copies of your contents. If you choose "Owner" (default), you revoke any previously set permissions and only you may take contents.

"█ Organize" permissions: Set this permission if you would like to give someone else the right to organize your contents AND take copies of your contents. PLEASE REVIEW THE COPYRIGHTS OF YOUR PURCHASED ANIMATIONS BEFORE DOING THIS! If your TMat is set to a group, you may choose "Group" to allow members to organize and take from your contents. If you choose All, anyone may organize your contents or take copies of your contents. If you choose "Owner" (default), you revoke any previously set permissions and only you may organize or take contents.

►   "Unpack Scri" button will send you an Unpack Script that is designed to send your boxed animations right to your TMat. Simply place the box within 20m of the TMat, right click the box, and place the script in the Content Tab window. Touch the box to receive a prompt, and then click the "To TMat" option. The animations will be deposited into your TMat System for you.

►   "Sync Ultra Inv" If you have an Ultra Inventory Server, you can syncronise your TMat with the Ultra Inventory Server. Before you do this, you should name your TMat, any Folders, and Ultra Inventory Server. This will provide a much better experience in the future. When you click this, it will take a moment to gather a list of Ultra Inventory Servers Version 1.31 or greater on the same region. You will get a dialog listing them out to you in a numbered format. Choose the Ultra Inventory Server to sync with. The Ultra Inventory Server will ask for permissions from you and you must select Grant. It will then start the synchronisation process which can take some time (1.1 sec per item average).

►   "☢ Skidz Partz" provides you with a wealth of knowledge on Skidz Partz, its products, and resources external to Second Life.

►   "Minimize" allows you to make the TMat shrink down into a small icon for when you're not using it. After it is minimized, you must touch the leftover object to maximize it again. Note: it will still use up the same amount of prims while it is minimized, and it will automatically minimize after being idle for one hour. If you want to disable this, edit your maximized TMat, make sure to enable Edit linked parts, and edit the frame around the animation display. Delete "RemoveMeToStopAutoMinimize" and it will be disabled.

►   "Help" will provide you with a number of options:

"☢ Skidz Partz" you will find various buttons to access additional information about the company and products.

"Movies" will give you a link to our website to check out our videos.

"Contact" will tell you who to contact in case you encounter problems with the TMat.

"Read Me" will give you a copy of this Read Me in case of loss

"About" will give you a notecard containing general information and a version history.

"Web" will give you a link to the website for the TMat, where you can find the manual with any updates if needed.

Thumbnails are the tiny boxes (25 of them) that display your animations. There are many ways to interact with these. Each content type displays a specific menu for that content type which includes Give, Slideshow and Done. In all cases you can use the next and prev buttons to move between thumbnails.

General controls for all item types

►   Clicking once will select an item

►   Clicking and dragging a selected thumbnail over to a folder relocates it there

Hint: Don't focus your camera on the thumbnail when you do this.

►   Double clicking will do different things depending on the content type being

Animations: sends the animation to a posestand in front of your TMat

Name: says the name of the animation in chat

Key: says the UUID of the animation in chat

Give: gives you the animation

Slide: starts the slide show, playing your animations (you must sit)

The Folders themselves are the upper hand you get working with the Skidz Partz TMat animation Organizing System. It's important to know that the folders are capable of much more than just storage.

When you load your animations into the TMat system, you are asked to touch the folder you'd like to place them into. Once located in a folder, you can subject your animations to various functions by using the Folder Menu. This menu is accessed by touching a selected folder containing animations.

You can tell a folder has contents inside by the icon that represents it. An empty folder is a lighter blue with a very small grid-like pattern. A folder with contents is slightly darker than an empty one, but it has an abstract checkerboard pattern to it. A selected folder is a red version of the empty folder.

Touching a selected folder will give you another menu. This is your Folder Menu. All the options you need to get organized are right at your finger tips.

►   "Share" is used to create a share box. This is completely automated when you decide whether to share the selected contents, the animations on Display, or the entire Folder. Once you have made your selection, you can select other contents, switch which contents are on display, or navigate to another folder and add those contents to the same share box. Follow the text prompts, naming the share box via the Edit window. Once you're happy with what you've shared, you can take the box and give it to others.

►   "Give" enables you to give yourself the contents that you either have Selected, that are in the Display screen, or you can receive the entire Folder. This is the option you will want to use once you've completed your sorting so that your organized collection can reside in your inventory.

►   "Folder Type" allows you to tell the folder what the contents of the folder are. You have three choices:

"Animations" display the contents as animations

►   "Name" allows you to name your folder. When this is activated, you will receive a chat prompt to say the new name of the folder. Type the name of your folder and say it in chat. You have 60 seconds to do this before it will time out.

►   "Move" is used to relocate your animations to different folders. As always, you can move what you select, the contents on Display, or the entire Folder contents. Once you have made your selection, choose to move the a different folder. The move is automatic once you have made this final choice. Note: Clicking to move the contents to another TMat won't work as a precaution. You can only copy contents to different TMats.

►   "Check Dupe" is used to check for duplicate contents within the selected folder. If the system finds duplicates, they will be moved to the trash bin located at the bottom right side of the TMat Organizing System.

Note: Items without full permissions are ignored by the duplicate checker due to LSL limitations.

►   "Delete" will send contents to the trash bin located at the bottom right of your TMat. Once again, you can choose to delete the Selected animation, the animations on Display, or the entire contents of the Folder. If you accidentally deleted animations you didn't mean to, you can restore them. This is done by touching the trash bin and choosing Show. The contents will be displayed and the trash bin can be touched again to give you the same options that a folder would. Choose to move the animations to a folder to restore them.

►   "Copy" is used to create a copy of your animations to another TMat or folder. You may choose to copy the Selected, what's on Display, or the entire Folder. Remember that this is copying, not moving. This is the only way to send animations to other TMats. A good thing to keep in mind if you have friends with TMats is that you can give Group or All Organize permissions and send contents directly to his/her TMat if you'd like to share.

►   "Double Click" tells the selected animation to act like it has been double clicked. This will bring up the large preview with scaling and coloring sliders. You can use the embedded menu you say the name or key of the animation in chat, give the animation to yourself, start a slide show, or hide the interface. The 0 symbol in the bottom left corner allows you to reset the changes you made. When you have finished, click Done.

The Search button is represented by a magnifying glass. When you touch the button you'll be prompted with whether you'd like to search for animations, or if you'd like to show your last search.

When you choose the content type, it will ask you to say the search term in chat. Once contents are found, the Search button acts as a folder, allowing you to do what you need to do with the animations that were found. To perform another search, you must select a folder then click the search button to kill the folder status.

Click the Search button again and choose Show to display your last search. Only your last search can be displayed and once again, the Search button will act like a folder.

Trash Bin

The trash bin is where animations you've deleted go. It is located at the bottom right of the TMat. When you touch the button, it will give you three choices: Show, Delete, and Empty.

►   "Show" is used to display the animations that are in your trash bin. This should be used if you're not sure that you want all the animations to be deleted.

►   "Delete" is used while you have a folder being displayed. You can choose to send the Selected animation, animations on Display, or entire Folder to the trash bin. It is an alternative to using the Folder menu to delete animations.

►   "Empty" will permanently delete all animations located in your trash bin from the TMat. Since all animations displayed by the TMat MUST have full permissions, your animations are still safely in your inventory in case you accidentally delete a wanted animation.

Resize the TMat

If  you want to resize your TMat, just make sure you save the new size afterwards with Control Panel/Options/Save

Not doing this could result in unpredictable behavior. If you need to recover a TMat that is now messed up because you didn't do this you can Clone to a new TMat.

(SL BUG) If you change it while wearing it as a hud.. and then take it off and put it back on right away you might not actually see the changes save..

This is a bug in SL. You have to leave the hud on for about 10 minutes to see the changes saved.

Cloning your TMat

If for any reason you start having issues with your TMat that cause it to be unusable you can Clone to another TMat.

I added this just to ensure no matter what, all that hard work you put into your TMat organizing, will never go to waste.

How to clone your TMat.

1. Drop out a brand new TMat and delete its default content.

2. Drop out the TMat you want to clone.

3. On the TMat you want to clone click "Control Panel/Clone".

4. You will be prompted to choose a folder on the TMat you are cloning to. Touch any folder.

5. You will be able to tell the clone has finished because there are no more animations flying through the air.

Notes: Cloning a larger TMat (folder count) to a smaller TMat.. will work, but not all the items get sent to the smaller TMat.

It is best to clone to and from a TMat with the same number of folders.

Most of the time you can clone from one person to another.. but sometimes Linden Labs does break this

To do this bother avatars have to have permissions to edit eachother items (friend list checkbox)

Open up organize permissions on both TMats (Control Panel/Permissions/Organize/All)

Then clone. If it does not work, LL might have broken it again, but I tested it on 5/19/2010 and it worked.

How to use the Drag and Drop Feature

With Drag and Drop you can literally select thumbnails on the TMat and drag them to a folder.

1. Select some thumbnails by clicking them. They will get a yellow boarder around them.

2. Focus your camera on the folder you wish to place the animations inside of

* This helps you line up the drop and prevents your camera from flying off when dragging

3. Click on a selected thumbnail, and don't release and start dragging your mouse towards the folder you want to place them in

4. The thumbanils will start to follow your mouse

5. When the center of the large thumbnail you are dragging is over the top of the center of the folder, release your mouse

The items you were dragging should now move over to the new folder

Permissions Notes

For real details on permissions please see "Main Menu - Control Panel" above.

Default permissions are Owner only, but keep in mind, if you change permissions, resetting the scripts will not change it back to owner only.

Extras & TIps

If the TMat happens to be your new favorite animation organizer out of all the ones you bought in hopes of getting organized, you can actually migrate your animations from the others into TMat quite easily. Simply drop out the other animation organizer within 20m of your TMat. Click the Main Menu and get the Unpack Script. Use Edit linked parts to find the prim on the other animation organizer that holds your animations. Drop the Unpack Script into the prim's Content window. Close out the Build window and touch the prim that now contains the unpack script to get the menu. Click "To TMat." The animations will migrate to your TMat!

Make sure that you always add the contents themselves and not their folders. The TMat can display both animations and snapshots as long as they have copy permissions. If you deposit animations without these permissions, you will have to manually delete them from the TMat system or drag them back into your inventory one at a time.

Left click and hold on any animation displayed by the TMat for about two seconds. Let go. The animation will be displayed as a thumbnail along with current permissions, next owner permissions, animation name, and creator. You can browse through the animations like this as well. To escape this view, just touch the main display area of the TMat.

The Duplicate Checker processes around 360 duplicate items each time it runs. If you have an overloaded folder, it will take couple runs of the Dupe Check before all the duplicates are found. These extra runs will happen automatically for you.

How to Make Your Own Theme

1. Click the check box "Edit linked parts" on the build window

2. Select the frame around the thumbnails

3. Copy an existing theme into your inventory "Blue", "Skull", "Industrial", or "Comic"

4. Open it up and replace the UUID with the ones you want for your theme

5. Rename it

6. Drop it back into the frame

7. Open "Menu1"

8. Scroll down till you see "MENU THEMES"

9. Add a new option under this menu like this "option SAME_NAME_AS_NOTECARD"

10. Click Tools/Reset script in selected

11. Wait for the menus to finish loading and you’re all done.

e) you MAY transfer to an alt with copy and modify permissions only

Further Explanation:

The Skidz Partz - Pure Posez is a set developed for builders who design items for end users or for personal use. Full permissions strictly applies to you, the purchaser. All scripts are provided no-modify. Under no circumstances may this set be transferred to any other user as-is. By using this set, you agree to apply no transfer permissions for the next owner on all animation or poses. You are agreeing to not resell or give away the parts as obtained.

None of the animations or poses included in any of the sets by Skidz Partz, Little Pussycat or skidz Tweak are to be sold in Second Life or any other grid as they were provided to you, be it individually, or in a group of others.  None of the animations or poses included in any of the sets by Skidz Partz Little Pussycat or skidz Tweak are to be copied with the exception of the default copy function built into Second Life or Second Inventory, copying directly to yourself, the purchaser. Backup copies of these items in Second Inventory may not be reimported in to any of Linden Labs grids, but can be imported into a private Opensim that you administrate where all the same permissions apply there as well. Furthermore, by purchasing, accepting delivery, and/or using these animations or poses, you are agreeing to not resell or give away the item as obtained. You may not resell them as animations or poses.  Skidz Partz retains records and local files with creation dates logged, etc., to protect against this. Violations of this agreement will be reported to Linden Labs and is in violation of the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act). Skidz Partz WILL enforce this. For more information on this act please go to the following link:

You may use scripts that call the UUID to these animations or poses, however once a script calls the UUID it is important that you follow the same rules applied. The script must be no modify, and you can use either transfer or copy, not both on it.

These terms are subject to change at any time without notice. Be sure to visit the webpage for the latest agreement.

Q. I tried to drag animations to my TMat's folders and it didn't work!

A. The drag and drop feature is for contents within the TMat only. To add contents from your inventory, you must drop all animations into the Content tab. See the Getting Started section to review how this works.

Q. When is the TMat Class?

A. The TMat class is every Saturday at 9:00 AM SLT/PDT on Skidz Isle in the South West corner.

Q. I copied my TMat while it was minimized and the new copy does not work

A. This is easy to fix:

1. Right click and edit it.

2. In the top of the Second Life Client click Tools/Set scripts to running in selection.

3. Wait until this finishes.

4. Now click Tools/Reset scripts in selected.

5. You can now touch it to maximize it.

To lower the amount of resources the TMat uses on a sim, I disable the scripts when it is minimized. This is a side effect of this.

Q. I searched for the TMat Users group but couldn't find it. How do I join?

A. The TMat Users group is only available to customers who have purchased the TMat. The TMat automatically invites you when you drop it. If you don't receive an invitation, it's possible that our invitation bot is offline. Try again later by clicking the Main Menu button and choosing "Join Group," or contact Alayna Hutson to have your purchase verified and an invitation sent manually.

Q. Is it possible to rename my TMats? Is it safe?

A. Yes, absolutely! It's recommended that you name your TMats something else to better serve your organizing process. And it can't harm your TMat at all!

Q. I shared some animations with the TMat group by dropping a share box into the organizer, but have not see the post come through. What’s going on?

A. Right now this is a manual process for me to send this post out. I try to do it at least twice a week, but hope to soon automate it. Please just be patient.

A. The creator of the animations could be on the do not share list as well.

Q. Can I sell animations that are shared with the group to others?

A. Just because someone shares these animations that are transferable with full permissions does not mean you have the right to sell these animations outright. You need to contact the creator of these animations to ensure it is okay with them.

Q. Someone is selling animations I shared, and I want them to stop. What can I do?

A. You need to address these types of concerns with the person doing the selling. I am not responsible for the actions of such an ass. If you care to remove animations you have shared in the past you may add yourself the do not share list.

Q. My TMat stopped working for some reason.

A. This again can be a side effect of me trying to reduce lag in second life, but there is a super easy fix. Take it into your inventory, or detach it, and then drop it on the ground. This should start it working again.

Q. I did a shift copy while it was minimized and now I can not get it to un-minimize.

A. Yes, this is a sad side effect of me disabling the scripts when it is minimized. To fix it, Edit it and enable the scripts with Tool/Set scripts to running in selected. This can take some time to complete, depending on the number of items in your TMat. After complete touch it to un-minimize it.

Q. Can I resize the TMat?

A. Yes, just use Control Panel/Options/Save to save down the new size.  This works for a HUD and out in world.
