In the Beginning
I purchased the Skidz Primz, but I didn't receive it! What should I do?
If you purchased the Skidz Primz in-world, you can visit our Skidz Isle or Snow Crash locations to use our Redelivery Terminals. This object will send you any products that were previously undelivered. If you purchased using SLExchange, contact Skidz Tweak or Alayna Hutson via IM to request a redelivery.
What is the most recent version of the Skidz Primz?
The most recent version of the Skidz Primz is 3.2. Make sure you have this version before building! It contains important fixes and changes to improve your experience with the Skidz Primz.
How do I wear my Pallet HUD?
Begin by unpacking your set of Skidz Primz. Details on how to do this are in the ReadMe. Look for the Pallet HUD in your inventory (try searching "Wear Me" to find it) and right click it. Choose "Wear" from the drop-down menu and wait for it to appear in the bottom right corner of your window.
Do I have to wear the Pallet as a HUD?
You are able to drop the Pallet out and use it as a "site tool." Dropping the Pallet creates a copy, so you don't have to worry about towing the same Pallet around everywhere. And you can delete the Pallet off your land when you finish as it will stay in your inventory this way. It's up to you!
How do I wear my Tool Belt?
Begin by unpacking your set of Skidz Primz. Details on how to do this are in the ReadMe. Look for the Tool Belt in your inventory (try searching "Wear Me" to find it) and right click it. Choose "Wear" from the drop-down menu and wait for it to appear around your waist.
Why do I have to wear the Tool Belt?
The Tool Belt is the brains of the Skidz Primz. It contains the data that is needed to make your Skidz Primz function. If you don't wish to wear the Tool Belt, you can drop it out, extract its contents and drop them into another item that you attach to yourself.
How do I rez a Skidz Prim?
Begin by wearing the Pallet HUD and Tool Belt. Touch the shape you want on the Pallet. The shape will appear five meters from where your camera was pointed. Note: Make sure you don't have the build window open. You won't be able to rez a Skidz Prim.
Permissions and Creatorship
Why can't I transfer my work?
Chances are the scripts have not been removed. The scripts in the Skidz Primz are non-transferable which is how the abilities of the tool are protected. To resolve this, simply touch the Functions button on the Pallet HUD and choose Finished. It will automatically remove the scripts from all your Skidz Primz from within a 96 meter radius.
Can other people use my Skidz Primz?
Yes, you may allow others to work with your Skidz Primz by clicking Options, Interface, 2, Yes. Please note that the objects they manipulate will not be their own, and that touching the shapes on the Pallet will result in a shape being rezzed in front of the owner. The best work around for this is to set out all the objects you wish others to work with.

Have you made yourself the creator? There are steps that you MUST follow before building to make yourself the creator. These steps are found here.
What permissions do I have on the Tool Belt and Pallet?
The Tool Belt will tell you that it is no modify, no copy, and no transfer. It is actually modifiable. The only reason it displays as being no modify is because of the scripts. The Pallet HUD is no modify and no transfer. This means that you can set out as many Pallets as you want if you have more than one parcel of land you wish to work on.
I want to buy the Skidz Primz as a gift, but it's not transferable! What do I do?
There are two ways you give the Skidz Primz as a gift. Our vendors are now equipped with Buy 4 Friend. Just use this on a Skidz Primz Vendor and follow the instructions. If both you and the recipient are members of SLExchange, you can use the Buy as Gift feature on the website.
The Modes and Interfaces
How do I rez an interface?
Simply touch the Skidz Prim you would like to be the Active Prim. This will rez an interface around the prim that you touched Depending on the way you are using the Skidz Primz, your Active Prim will either detect a number of prims around itself, or you will have to touch another prim to rez an interface.
Do I have to use Skidz Primz to use the interface?
In a sense, yes you do always need to use Skidz Primz. Your Active Prim must ALWAYS be a Skidz Prim. Destination Prims can be regular prims. If you have regular prims that you would like to turn into Skidz Primz, touch the Functions button and choose, "Prim Script." Drop the script it gives you into the Content tab of each regular prim to initiate the change. As soon as the texture animations stop, you will have newly created Skidz Primz.
How do I change modes?
Simply touch the Mode button on the Pallet and choose which mode you want to use from the menu that appears. Remember that you need to wear your Tool Belt for the Pallet to function.
How do I use Snap Mode?
Touch the Mode button and choose "Snap" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that you wish to become the Active Prim. This is the prim that will be moved around when you use Snap Mode. If you use the method of detecting prims, your Active Prim will automatically detect a number of nearby prims and apply the interface. If you do not use this method, you will have to touch the Skidz Prim you want the Active Prim to align with. Touch one of the red pins (the Snap Interface) on the Active Prim. It will turn white to indicate that you have touched it. Next, touch a red pin on a non-Active Prim. This pin will turn white as well, but the Active Prim will move to join the two pins you touched. This results in your aligned prims. When you are finished, touch the Active Prim again to de-rez the interface.
How do I use RotClassic Mode?
Touch the Mode button and choose "Rotation" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that you wish to become the Active Prim. This is the prim that will be rotated based on your indications. If you use the method of detecting prims, your Active Prim will automatically detect a number of nearby prims and apply the interface. If you do not use this method, you will have to touch the Skidz Prim you want the Active Prim to copy the rotation of. Touch a blue pin on a non-Active Prim to apply its rotation to the Active Prim. The blue pins on the Active Prim will send it in a 45 degree rotation in the direct of the pin you touched. When you are finished, touch the Active Prim again to de-rez the interface.
How do I use Gap Mode?
Touch the Mode button and choose "Gap" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that you wish to become the Active Prim. This is the prim that will fill the gap for you. If you use the method of detecting prims, your Active Prim will automatically detect a number of nearby prims and apply the interface. If you do not use this method, you will have to touch the one or two Skidz Primz you would like to fill the gap between. Touch the two pins that would represent the start and end points of the gap you want to fill. If one of the pins belongs to the Active Prim, the gap filling process will accurately position the Active Prim. If the two Gap Pins belong to destination prims you will be asked which axis to apply the new size to. Select X, Y, or Z depending on which way you need to extend or shrink the scale. With this technique, you will need to use Snap Mode to align your newly resized prim.
How do I use Gap Mode to copy an axis?
Touch the Mode button and choose "Gap" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that you wish to apply the new axis size to. Touch the two pins that represent the axis size that you'd like to apply to your Active Prim. When you receive the prompt, choose the axis you'd like to apply the new size to.
How do I use RotScale Mode?
Touch the Mode button and choose "RotScale" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that you want to rotate the scale of. Remember that this is used to reposition attributes like the hollow, cuts, and axes. The orange pins that appear work like RotClassic pins. Simply touch the pin pointed in the direction you want to rotate the attributes in. As soon as your attributes are in the right place, you can touch the prim again to remove the orange pins.
How do I use Mirror Mode?
This mode is best used with linked sets that do not have any rotation applied to them. Touch the Mode button and choose "Mirror" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Make sure to create a copy if you want to create a true mirror image since the changes need to be applied to the linked set itself. Next, touch the linked set of Skidz Primz that you wish to mirror. From the prompt, touch the X or Y button to mirror. If one of the axes doesn't work, simply try again using the other one.
How do I use Move Mode?
Touch the Mode button and choose "Move" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that will act as your "anchor" prim. This is the prim that you want to move around. You will receive a prompt asking what radius you would like to detect Skidz Primz within. Choose between 20 and 96 meters. As soon as you make this selection, Move mode will be in effect and moving your Active prim around will cause the Skidz Primz within the selected radius to follow. This movement applies to positions and rotations alike.
How do I use Undo Mode?
Touch the Mode button and choose "Undo" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Next, touch the Skidz Prim that you want to use Undo mode on. A prompt will show you which type of move was made last, a position change ( up to 25 times.
How do I use Link Mode?
Please exercise great caution when using Link Mode. Touch the Mode button and choose "Link" from the Menu that appears in the top right corner. Touch the Skidz Prim you would like to make the root prim. Click "Yes" to allow the Skidz Prim to link your objects. Afterwards, choose whether to have your Skidz Prim link with Everything or Smart Link to prims. Everything will cause your Skidz Prim to link with everything it possibly can, regular prims and Skidz Primz alike. Smart Link will find prims that are on similar planes to use as a linking guideline. Once you make your selection, the link will occur.
Is there a special way I have to move the Skidz Primz around when there is an interface around them?
No, you move the Skidz Primz just like you would move any regular prim. When the interface is around your Skidz Primz, the interface will follow them; however you should avoid moving any prim with an interface.
How do I turn the Skidz Primz on and off?
Touch the Functions button on the Pallet and choose "Turn On/Off." Select either Turn On or Turn Off from the menu. You will also notice a third option, Hibernate. This is used to set the Skidz Primz to a sleep mode. If you make this selection, you will have to touch each Skidz Prim to wake it back up.
Is it possible to decide which Skidz Primz will have an interface?
For sure! This method only works if all of your prims are Skidz Primz. To change to this method, click Options on the Pallet, choose Sensor, and click 3 and choose "Yes." Instead of the Active Prim detecting nearby prims, you have to touch a second (or third, or fourth, or fifth, etc.) prim to apply the interface to it. The interfaces work the same as with detection.
How do I change how many prims are detected by the interface?
Click Options, then Sensor, then 1. Choose the number of objects you wish the Skidz Primz to detect (a number between one and eight) and it will be set. Remember that the more objects are detected, the more lag you are likely to experience as a result.
Do I have to de-rez an interface if I want to align the same Active Prim to another prim?
If the prim you want to align your Active Prim has an interface around it, you can simply go through the motions to align it again. If the prim doesn't have an interface around it, you do have to de-rez the interface and move the Active Prim closer to the prim you want, or increase the amount of prims detected. If you are using the method of deciding where the interface goes, you can simply touch the Skidz Prim you would like to snap your Active Prim to and carry out the action as usual.
I want the same Skidz Primz to be detected, but I want a different Active Prim. Can I change which prim is active?
Absolutely! While the interface is applied, touch the Skidz Prim you want to be active. This prim will start flashing to indicate it is now the Active Prim. If you notice that the original Active Prim is still flashing, touch it again, then touch the prim you want to become active once more. The problem should be corrected.
Is there any way that I can stop the Skidz Primz from detecting other people's objects?
Yes, click Options, Sensor, 2 and choose No. This will immediately stop the Skidz Primz from detecting other's objects.
Do the interfaces work with cut, hollowed, tapered, etc. pieces?
Yes! The next mapping in Skidz Primz 3.2 is a lot more precise than previous versions.
Is there a group for Skidz Primz users?
Absolutely! If you haven't already received an invitation, search for ::Skidz Primz Users and join.
Do you have classes?
Yes, classes are held every Tuesday night at 6 PM SLT/PST and every Saturday morning at 11 AM SLT/PST on Skidz Isle. Join the ::Skidz Primz Users group to be notified of changes or cancellations.

Are there advanced classes?
No. We have thought about offering advanced classes, but there were many considerations that had to be taken into account and we have decided to not offer advanced classes just yet.
Does the creator of the Skidz Primz have other useful building tools?
We have plenty of different products available through Skidz Partz. Visit any of our stores to check out great products like our Work Bench, Mad Scientist Lab, and the newest addition to our products, the TMat Texture organizing System.
How do I get a copy of the ReadMe?
Touch the Help button on your Pallet HUD and choose Read Me. You will receive a copy. You can also go here to read it online.
Why can't I rez a Skidz Prim?
There are a number of reasons that you are unable to rez a Skidz Prim. You may be in a region where you are not permitted to rez prims, or scripts are not allowed to run. It is also possible that if you require a group to work on land and you wore the Pallet and Tool Belt while you were in a different group, you will be unable to rez any Skidz Primz. Take off both the Pallet and Tool Belt, change to the group you need to be in, and wear the parts again. This will resolve the problem. If you still cannot rez a Skidz Prim, check if a script error has occurred. If you recently made yourself the creator, check that you followed the instructions properly. If the problem persists, please contact Alayna Hutson or Skidz Tweak.
What do I do if my Skidz Primz stop working?
If your Skidz Primz stop working, make sure that the Skidz Primz are on by clicking the Functions button and choose Turn On/Off. Click On and see if that resolves the problem. If this doesn't do anything, please contact Alayna Hutson or Skidz Tweak for support.
My building was made from Skidz Primz and it was hit by prim drift! Can I try to realign with the Skidz Primz?
Yes! If you haven't hit Finished yet, you can align the Skidz Primz as usual and it will fix the prim drift. If you have hit Finished, you will have to turn the prims hit by prim drift back into Skidz Primz. Do this by unlinking all the parts you wish to align. Click Functions/Prim Script to receive the MakeaSkidzPrim script. Drag this script into the Content window of EACH of the prims you need to align and wait for the texture animations to stop. This will turn them into Skidz Primz for you. Go ahead and align them. Hint: Linking seems to prevent a lot of prim drift. If it's possible, link as many prims as you can as you build.
Why doesn't Gap Mode work for me?
It works for everyone. The yellow pins act as position markers. When touching two, you tell them to calculate the distance between the actual pins. Because of this, you need to make sure that you have your Skidz Primz positioned in such a way that the correct distance is calculated and applied.
Getting the Most Out of the Primz
I have a building that I would like to align, but it's not made of Skidz Primz. Is there a way to make it into Skidz Primz?
Yes! Unlink all the parts you wish to align. Click Functions/Prim Script to receive the MakeaSkidzPrim script. Drag this script into the Content window of EACH of the prims you want to turn into Skidz Primz and wait for the texture animations to stop. Your regular prims will then be regular prims.
How do I get rid of all the stuff in my Skidz Primz?
Make sure you are completely finished. Hit the Functions button and choose "Finished." The items inside the Skidz Primz will be removed and you will be able to transfer your work. This command is applied to only your Skidz Primz within a 96m radius of your position. Special Note: The Finished button used to remove ALL contents. Now, if you wish to script your objects before using the Finished button, you won't lose your added contents. Just be careful with touch-sensitive scripts that will activate if you touch to activate an interface.
Can I put the scripts and objects back after I've clicked Finished?
Definitely! Click Functions/Prim Script to receive the MakeaSkidzPrim script. Drag this script into the Content window of EACH of the prims you need to align and wait for the texture animations to stop. This will turn them into Skidz Primz for you. Since "EACH" is one of the key words, try to make sure you're completely finished before clicking the button.
Is it possible to add my own scripts to my Skidz Primz?
Absolutely! At any time you may add a different script to any Skidz Prim. If you wish to have a particular script in all of your Skidz Primz upon rezzing, complete the task of making yourself the creator of the Skidz Prim, but before you drop your newly created Skidz Primz into your tool belt, add your extra content as well. Complete the remaining steps and you are ready to go.
Why do my Skidz Primz say that they are not modifiable and non-transferable? I can modify them and I need to be able to transfer them!
Don't worry about it. The only things that make the Skidz Primz appear to be no modify and no transfer are the scripts inside them. Just relax and work with the Skidz Primz as needed. When you are finished, hit the Functions button and choose "Finished." This will give you full permissions on your work. Do understand however, that unfinished Skidz Primz you take into your inventory cannot be renamed.
